All permissions are in place and I am using the Admin userid. I can read an Access database, but not update it. I get the error message:

Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80040E09)
Cannot update. Database or object is read-only.

I have attempted to use AddNew and Update and both receive the exact same error message.

During troubleshooting I saw a comment that NTFS may hinder a write to an Access Database, but I cannot find any recommended solutions.

I am using ASP with IIS5.0 + Windows XP with SP2 + Access 2003. The database being accessed was created on an earlier version of Access.
