cant run Yahoo or view hidden files

suddenly yahoo did not run, i click it. nothing happens. i dont know why. ive tryed reinstalling a 100 times still nothing. so i thought ill dewlete ALL the files including hidden ones i notice everytime i change to view hidden files it keeps changing back so i cant see...can anyone help me with the yahoo thing? thanks
