I'm having issues restoring my laptop. I have a 2 disc set for recovery.

I boot up with Disc One and am able to select "Restore to Factory Defaults" it goes through the whole process and when it gets to 68% it asks for Disc Two.

When I put in Disc Two, it reads it for a moment and the tells me to put Disc Two in. I guess it's not recognizing it for some reason. I have a second set of discs that I got from my friend with the same laptop and I'm having the same issue.

I'm wondering if it might not be a partition setting or something but I have no idea how to figure out what they should be. At the beginning of the process I noticed it says using Disk 0 Partition 2...

Does it stop at the same point with both set of disc?

Test the hard drive using the manufacturer diagnostics. Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.

You can try wiping the hard drive using DBAN or Killdisk then try the installing the OS
