You need to figure out what sound card you have, and install the drivers for it. Is this a pre-built computer from a company, or was it built by you or a buddy?

If you bought the computer, check your invoice/configuration, it should tell you. If not, check the sony website for your specific model, it should give you the options. You can even download drivers for the audio straight from the website once you've figured it out :)
