When I try opening a text document and a couple of folders with documents and photos I get the message "The item 'clvois.scr' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly."
Others appear as ".ink" files and my computes won't open those either.

Can't tell exactly whats the problem but looks like a virus infection in your files....
do you use updated antiviruses???
what operating system are you using???

if using one of the windows operating system then try to open those files over a linux based operating system, my personal favourite is puppy linux (small and does not needs installation.)

If your documents and folders are redirecting to a .scr screensaver, your computer is probably infected.

Please follow these instructions and start a new thread in the Virus/Trojan/Spyware Help forum with all the requested logs.
