Shared drive: Iomega Storcenter ix2-200
Computer: Windows Vista
Issue: mapping shared drive to vista machine.

My laptop computer (vista) can "see" the shared drive and access it when I plug the IP address into my web browser, but I can't get vista to map the drive using the IP address. It's looking for something alphabetic rather than numeric (e.g. http://network/storcenter). Can't find this info anywhere.

I'm not a vista guru- what am I missing?

are you mapping in the format of \\ipaddress\sharename?

if so then what is the specific error you recieve?
