Hi All

Im trying to install Vista x86 on my system but im getting the message below.

"This computer is not compliant with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard. Windows must be installed onto a computer that supports ACPI. Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update or install Windows on an ACPI-compliant computer. "

Im running a AMD Barton 2500 OC'd to a 3200.

Motherboard / Asus A7N8X-X

Memory 1.5gb PC 3200

Radeon 9800 Pro

My Asus bios version is 1007, but I dont have a floppy drive so I havent be able to update them

My main question is is it worth my while even trying to update my Bios with a bootable cd? Or will this motherboard just not run Vista?

Any help would be great

Thanks
Jenn

check it is not disabled in the bios
check the advanced tab in the bios your manual makes reference to ACPI so i cannot see it not being compliant

Acpi

In my bios, the first thing under poweroptions is "divert ACPI to ram".

I've tried enabling this but that didn't work either.

Anyone got any ideas?
