Hopefully a System Restore will work. If not and you have a VIsta disk, do an overwrite. Don't use the OE on the partition or you'll be starting from scratch. We have other methods available. One more thing. Check the Recycle Bin.
Cant install IE9, "newer version already exists...HELP!
I kept getting lots of pop ups from IE7 and deleted it as it was annoying me, I even got pop ups when IE7 was not even open!! I could not find the program from the install / delete programs from control panel so I went in and deleted the IE folder. I must have done something wrong here as now I cant install any version of IE, tried 7 and 8 and even 9. When it tries to install i get the message "set up cannot continue as a more recent version of internet explorer is installed on your computer".
I have been through so many forums and cannot find an answer, I even downloaded Mats_Run from microsoft and it says it did not fix the internet explorer add on. I dont want to reformat my computer as yet so hence the reason for this post and if anyone can help me.
