Can't format

I tried to install XP IN my F:(NTFS) which is not bootable drive & I got message: Windows cannot format this drive.
I got this message when formatting was about to complete & Now I get the same message whenever I try to format this drive.
Information of this drive states that it is Windows 95 partition using INT13(Interrupt).
I don't know what to do?:4-dontkno
Can anyone help me out?

Is it an internal or external drive? And if the drive is not bootable, why are you installing XP onto it?

If there is already an OS on the PC, use Windows to format the drive. Or use the HDD manufacturers disk tools to format.

You may also want to delete the existing the partition, create a new partition, and then format (with any of the options noted above).
