When I insert the original XP CD, to reinstall my windows XP on my curredt Vista, and click install, it say "this program is blocked due to compatibility issues", "setup cannot continue because the version of windowson your computer is newer than the version on your CD"

what should I do???

Hey. You need to boot from the xp cd. First of all if you have any data that you want to save you need to do it before you try this as it will wipe everything from your hard drive. So boot from the xp cd and then delete the cirrrent partition and create a new one to install xp on it. Then you should select the full format and not the quick one. Then you can install xp. Before you try this make sure that you can find all of the xp drivers for your computer. I did this for my brokers laptop an it was a pain in the butt to find drivers for it so it is really impotant to find all of them before you try this.

Raynor236 is right. You need to actually boot from the Windows XP disc instead of allowing it to run while already booted into an operating system (in your case, Vista).

You may need to be go into the BIOS and change the boot priority order to allow the CD drive to boot before the hard drive.
