can't connect

i have an ibm thinkpad 760xd bought used, i think it's a 1995 model. i just got a digital camera. the cable to connect it to the computer is usb. the 760 has no usb port. how do i connect my camera? please keep in mind i am a newbie and don't know all the lingo yet. os is win 98 plus if that makes a differnce to what i need to connect.

if you hold your cursor over the word "here" in Monkey's reply the website address should come up on the bottom left of your screen, either make a note of it or copy it and then paste into google.
