Hi, I hope this is in the right section. I have a laptop running XP Pro sp2 and for the last few days I can not connect to the internet. I connect through a wireless router and all my other computers do also (they can go online just fine). I can ping any computer on my network and can ping websites (www.yahoo.com) but no other programs can connect to the internet (Firefox, IE, various messenger programs, anti virus updaters, Outlook). I applied the winsock XP fix and it worked after I restarted (everything could go online). After another restart it did not work again! I applied the fix again, but this time it did not work! I was going to try system restore, but each time it said "unable to restore, your computer has not been changed" Please help!

Please try this:

Copy and paste this into the Command prompt:

Then copy and paste this in:

netsh int ip reset reset.log

Press Enter.

When finished restart your computer.
