i got a new linksys range expander and i cant get it to connect to the internet but i can get it to connect to the access point and when i try to repair the connection it tells me it cant get a valid IP so should i try to set a manual IP and if so how would i go about that? the model of range expander is WRE54G Wireless-G Range adapter in my comp is WMP54GS Wireless-G PCI Adapter and i cant remember the acces point but its a few years old with no updates in sofware. also i can get both the range expander and adapter to connect briefly but no more than a few minutes woth out it losing connection. Ive tried changing the security seetings in the linksys site and to no avail im at my wits end with linksys!!!! :grin: also all of the other computers in the house can connect to the internet and they are all wireless with the same routers.
