I just built a new PC

I'm using a MB GIGABYTE GA-N650SLI-DS4 775 R motherboard. I got everything set up and then started it up. I entered the bios and set them but I need it to boot off the CD drive.

When I did the Bios I set the CD drive to be the first boot.

However, if I F12 and go into the boot menu it has the HD checked off as my boot. But that screen won't let me move around in it. The whole screen is frozen and I have to restart.

Does any one know what I can do to get the PC to boot off the CD on start up?

I'm using a MS XP disk and not a copy.

If you have the BIOS set to boot first from cd-rom, you do not have to press F12 at the prompt . . let it continue untill you get the "Press any key to boot from CD" prompt
