Canon prints green

3637 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  BobLam
My Canon i9100 prints everything with a green tint, even black and white. I've changed print cartridges, cleaned, aligned, even reinstalled the driver and nothing seems to help. From doing a search on Google, it seems to be a problem others have had, however I haven't seen a solution. These are important photos and diagrams for work....please help!!! Any advise would be most appreciated! Thanks

Have you tried contacting Canon?
Yep, they suggested all the things I did, but it doesn't seem to help :4-dontkno
It's probably a problem with the printer itself, the main control board inside. It may be reading the feed from the PC and incorrectly firing ink onto the paper. Since you tried everything else, that would be very possible.
I have a s9000 that i have been having the same problem with. I took the cover off of the printer and cleaned the ink from about everything i could without dismantling the printer itself, including the pad where the printhead sits when it is in the home position, the wipers right behind the pad and the foam across the front. At the left hand end there is a spong that i removed and cleaned also. Be carful to repace it the way it came out. Look for dust and maybe pet hairs(if you have a cat like i do that jumps over my printer to get to the top of my desk) in the paper feed wheels. good luck.
