Hello. I am trying to clean up my hard drive and delete programs that I don't need or use. I had an officejet v series a LONG Time ago (last used 8/03) and I want to remove the program from my computer. I go to the control panel> add/remove programs and highlight the program, but there is no button at all, not remove/change or remove. It's like 288MB of space that it's taking up. I cannot find the printer programs anywhere in the computer using explore, or using the start menu>all programs. I went to the hp site and they have uninstall utilities listed but when I click on the v series there is nothing there, I'm assuming b/c it's so old. Does someone have a way of removing this program? I am reasonably competent on computers but this has stumped me. I would appreciate any and all help that you could give me. Thanks, Terri in Pittsburgh :4-dontkno:4-dontkno:4-dontkno

You could try to check the directory c:\program files and see if you have a folder \hp officejet v series\setup. In this folder the application program setup.exe can recognize if the installation has already been done and ask if you want to remove the software. The software is removed (you will not see it in Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs anylonger) however the directories under \hp officejet v series will remain as well as the icon in desktop. You could then delete the icon and the directory, after that you need to clear the Windows Registry (Tweak Regcleaner or CCleaner will do).
