hi. This is my setup:

Dlink wireless router connected to another TP-Link r402m cable modem router that is the main router. Basically it all started when I THINK I installed vista sp2. since then I always experienced intermittent disconnects, and whenever that happense I TRIED EVERYTHING (I.E. netsh winsock reset, repair diagnose, uninstall reinstall network adapter) basically all you can google. It won't come up. only until I give it A LONG TIME will it work again. I've tried resetting the router also. (the cable mode, I never touch the wirelss router). So anyway, i recently uninstalled the sp2 vista. but it seems to not go away. I think the root cause of the frequent unexplained disconnects to (local only) is because I can't detect my router in the network in vista. I CAN detect my wireless router which my laptop connects to, but the wired router I cannot. I can also see other computers in my network. Please help me I've tried everything Thanks for all replies this seems to be a very interesting problem
