Cannot restore computer to factory condition or create recovery disc

I currently want to wipe out my computer and start from scratch as there is a lot of junk on it and too much of it to delete it manually.
I tried using the 'repair computer' option when windows starts by pressing F8 but I get the error message '0xc000000f' and something about how the boot failed because the device is inaccessible. My computer can start up normally, I only get this when I try to use the repair option.
I thought I would fix this by making a repair CD but when
I try I get the error message saying 'system repair disc could not be created, the parameter is incorrect (0x80070057)'
I thought I could get around this by downloading and burning a repair disc manually and it appeared to work until I chose the option to restore my computer to its original state, then it says something along the lines of 'windows could not find system image'.

My laptop is a hp touchsmart tmt-2050ea and runs windows 7 home premium

p.s. Im not sure if it helps but i think the recovery partition of my laptop was deleted :whistling: , maybe reinstalling it would fix it... but alas I don't know how

if the recovery partition was deleted and unless you created the proper recovery disks when you first got the computer, then you are basically out of luck. You will need to get with hp and purchase a set.

you can go into disk management and see if the recovery partition is still there. just right click computer, click on manage, then click on disk management.
