Hi;

I've read several threads on here and elsewhere about not being able to load certain websites. Abouot a week ago I could not log onto my bank site (Chase), and I was using IE8. A couple of other sites like PNC and Cia.gov wont load either, but seveal others will. I've done the following:

~upgraded to IE9
~turned off mcafee firewall
~flushed DNS (i think)
~cleared SSL
~rebooted

other facts
~this is wired connection
~another computer running XP on same router (wired connx) loads the sites w/o issues.
~my kids are on this computer

I am at a loss as to what to do. It does not appear to be my router since other computer works. I'm guessing IE?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks for the tips, I cleared everything out and loaded both Chrome and Firefix. The Chase website loads with no issues on either browser. Any other thought on why IE suddently stopped loading certain sites? Literally two weeks ago it worked.

Thanks

I use IE9 which was an upgrade from the pre-installed IE8 and whenever I've had problems with IE, I've either uninstalled then re-installed it using the upgrade button on the IE8 Home Page or just reset it to Default Settings.

I guess IE is more prone to getting snarled up than the other browsers for some reason but a reset usually (for me) resolves any problems.

Just have to re-enter the details for my Home Page and Trusted sites afterwards and then it's usually good to go.

Did you have those troublesome sites listed in the Trusted Sites ?

Have you not considered upgrading to IE9, for me since doing so, IE8 seems so outdated.
