hi,

i have just purchased a viglen cm1772fs CRT monitor for downstairs comp, however the driver disc is useless because it wont set up due to being incapable of working with XP, and so i wish to find a driver for it, however i have found the driver on driverguide.com but their giving me sign in problems could someone find me the driver because im sick of this massive resolution 800 x 600

p.s. i also found the driver somewhere else but it will not set up it just opens as code in wordpad.

I'm kinda amazed that you would need a driver for a standard CRT in WinXP.

yeah i know, strange isnt it, but i need the driver to change the reolution.

The only driver on driverguide is for win95. Only thing I found was you can download the colour profiles here http://www.gnrintl.com/products.jsp?pct=crt&&ss=17

there is no card entry this could be the problem lol, i think i have a video card, driver must not be installed for it.

did in fact have the GeForce 4 card (to my surprise - falt i had a piece of cheap junk), anyway used everest to identify it and then found drivers, works fine now, thanks guys.
