One of my older PC's recently stopped booting, and I was woundering how I would go about either fixing it or the best way to get my old data.
Whenever I power it up it only shows a quick memory count check and then stays on a black screen. I cannot seem to enter any commands via my key board (cannot get into configeration) nor do I hear any BIOS startup beeps. This PC is (was) running win98.
I assume my Harddrive is fine since if that was the case I would still be able to see the dos startup and it would notify me of a harddisk failure. I guess my option is to transfer this C drive over to another PC as a slave drive and copy my old data there (Unless anyone else can fix this boot issue)
