I've just installed a new hard drive alongside my old one and now have Windows XP installed on each hard drive. I want to move some documents from my old installation to the new one, but whenever I attempt to access my old documents, it disallows me access. I removed the password to no avail.

How can I transfer files between these accounts on different WinXP installations?

Try right clicking on a folder > Properties > at the bottom of that does it say "Block" or Unblock

C:\Documents and Settings\Ryan Hofer is not accessible.

Access is denied.

I can access the Administrator account, but everything is on Ryan Hofer.

you have to take ownership of the file/folder under the other copy of xp. See this from microsoft.

basically you will have to get on the xp you want to copy the file to and take ownership of the files/folder from the old xp.
