Hi , Just needed to know if you could install win xp pro on 2 different comps using the same cd-key and registering both versions. It is for my comp at home and my comp in my second home.... So the Ip would be different.

in a word... yes.

sounds like piracy a bit to me tho.. ohh well.

It will fail when you go to activate the second copy, since the CD-KEY is recorded during the activation process.

and you won't be able to install SP1 on the second machine.

Just buy it! There are places that will sell you the OEM full version of either one for a greatly discounted price with the purchace of hardware, like a $10 floppy drive.

That's what I did. I saved about $100, and my copy is 100% LEGAL!:tongue2:
