Can my ddr2-800 ram run at 400 mhz if my processor only has an fsb of 266 mhz

Hi,

I currently have an Intel Q6600 processor with an fsb of 266 MHz, and some DDR2-533 ram. I want to upgrade my ram to DDR2-800, but my motherboard only supports up to DDR2-533, so i'm thinking i need to upgrade the motherboard as well.

My question is whether i need to upgrade my processor as well or will it be fine running asynchronously, the processor fsb at 266 mhz, and the ram at 400 mhz?

Thx ahead
