Ok so a friend of mine gave me an ancient old P4 computer I mostly wanted ti because it has a really nice case. Well when I took it apart I found this.

Redirect Notice

Well I tested it out on my had to see how well ti cooled. Well it was great and I want to use it in my computer. Here is the problem it was designed to attack to the mounting system of a early P4 socket 478 and I have the default mounting system for a socket AM3. Is there a way I could make the 2 compatible like a bracket I could buy or some thing.

Thank you for the help.

Unfortunately there are no companies (that I know of) that make a kit to mount Socket 478 coolers on later socket types.

I would also advise against it. The cooler was designed for use with a P4 CPU. I must admit that it looks pretty cool, but you would be better off with a modern high performance cooler, or the stock AMD HSF. I would wager that the stock cooler that comes packaged with your AMD CPU will cool your CPU more efficiently.
