Is it possible to use a 4th gen ipad to communicate on facetime?

I don't have one yet. I plan to order one today. The only information is it runs ipadOS. From what I have seen from the Apple website the 2nd Gen on up can run facetime. I only want it to run facetime. I don't need any new apps. I know I won't be able to update.

When you order it, ask what iOS it runs, follow the link in post #2 to see if it works with that iPad.
There are other apps other then Facetime and Skype to video conference with on a PC, like Zoom, Webex etc
