caldera DR-DOS on win xp

this one is new 4 me....i fix and resell some old computers..as of late i'm having problems with trying to load xp on a formatted drive from booting off cd on startup........i burnt xp using nero and when checked on a machine that has an OS it loads fine when clicked on....how do i get past the dr-dos or what do i need to do.
