I am using the latest CA security suite however after a bit the CA Firewall blocks all access for Windows Mail, Internet Explorer and FireFox. I check all the settings and everything is setup correctly, the apps just can't get out to the internet. If I reboot the computer it works properly for maybe 5 or so minutes and then all of a sudden everything is blocked again. I've turned off the CA Firewall and turned on Vista's firewall, but I had the long lag on Websites when you first try access them....I liked the way that CA's firewall didn't have the delay.

Yes I've uninstalled and reinstalled the security suite, but the problem persists, any suggestions.

I spent at least 3 hours on the phone with Time Warner, who didn't resolve my problem
I had the same problem (WM and IE). I finally uninstalled CA Security Suite and reinstalling what I had on there before. After I uninstalled CA SS, I access and surf the IE fine, after I reinstalled the software I had on there before, IE and WM works fine now.

I was having the same problem with CA Firewall and VISTA. I contacted CA several times about the browser stopping after a few pages. I uninstalled, reinstalled and made changes that were suggested but the results were the same including very slow performance.

I uninstalled it and installed Comodo Free Firewall for Vista 32 and then the malware software from Comodo free along with PC Tools Anti Virus free and it has been working quickly without any problems.

Actually this is regarding the issue of the compatibility of the CA SS and the Vista. I got a few issue like this before, and after uninstall the CA SS, everthing seems working fine again. You might want to contact CA SS team, and check with them is there any updates or patch released for Vista. Otherwise try ask them on configuration settings so that it won't block the WM and IE or any other internet based softz.
