(C:) opening when booting up! (broweser)

Just recently, when I boot, a browser window opens and shows everything in C. If you were to double click on MY COMPUTER....double click on C...it is THAT window that opens when starting up. I have check in MSCONFIG and see nothing that would make that thing open NOR is there anything in the start menu startup. Why would THAT open??? I have never seen anything like this! Drives me nuts!

this sometimes happens when you powerdown or reboot and don't close My Computer or Windows Explorer or Control Panel.

I forgot the fix...sorry.

you might try closing it at bootup...open it again...close it again..and powerdown (not restart). Reboot and see if that fixed it.

I'm back....lol...also, click control/ALT/DELETE and close all programs first.

RIGHT!! That IS what happened when I crashed and left the window open, but upon it rebooting, I did close it and it still opened. WEIRD! I will try that fix! Thanks so much! :)
