Recently noticed that my C Drive shows as the second partition on the disk instead of the first. Maybe it’s always been this way and I never noticed. But also, the first partition on the disk has a drive letter of G. Found that to be a bit odd as well.

Any thoughts about this? Ok to have C as the second partition? Im not having any issue with booting or anything else really me. Just caught my eye and thought I’d ask about it.

Thanks.

This is normal. The Partition System (G: ) should not have a drive letter, it should be Hidden. It has the Boot files for Windows in it. In Disk Management, Right click the G: drive and choose Change Drive Letter or Paths. Click Remove button to remove the Drive Letter. Then restart the computer. This will not impact your system at all, it will just hide this partition from you so you won't accidentally put something on it.
