I'm currently in the process of putting together my first gaming computer, and I have somewhat of an idea of what I'm doing.

Here are all the required fields:
Budget: No more than $1300, as I've already gone over budget by about $300.

Brands: All brands are fine.

Multitasking: Only games, so probably not much.

Gaming: Sole purpose of this computer is games (no internet).

Calculations: As previously stated, just games.

Overclocking: No (don't know how).

Storage: I've selected a 500G HDD.

Legacy Support: PS/2 keyboard.

Operating System: I don't know. Does anyone have any suggestions on which OS is better for gaming? (link below)

Case: I think I have a pretty good case (link below)

Accessories: (link below)

Recycled Components: Nope, brand new.

Monitor: 22" widescreen (link below)

Stores: Newegg.

Location: United States
____________

I've put together some parts from Newegg and I was hoping I could get some feedback as to if it's good/compatible or not.

The only thing I have absolutely no idea on is the OS. XP? Vista? Home? Premium? Ultimate? I honestly have no clue. Also, if you know of any way that I could lower the cost at all, you would be a godsend.

Any help?
