Well...I seem to have a burnt in immage of my desktop icons on my LCD monitor. I heard you get this from leaving your computer on with 1 immage on for a long time...is this true? And...I also heard there is no way to fix it, and I'm hoping that's not true, and there are tools somewhere to repair this.

that used to happen to the old CRT monitors, but i thought that was a thing of the past with the newer types. i didn't think it could happen with the LCD screen though, because it doesn't work that way. so what happened and what are the effects now?
