I personally think this is a good idea for a pc and pretty damn cheap all together.

oh and yeah I know I need a fan but it is usually included in the proccesser package is there a fan I might want to use that might allow better performance?

all this without keyboard and monitor is under 600 dollar not bad huh.

OK number 1 problem

38$ is to liitle to spend on a psu OR a case. lol. The number one problem we see here is people thinking they can get away with the crappy powersupplies that come with the cases. These power supplies are very poor in quality and are very low amperage, and are not safe to use. It will give bad inconsistant power and will slowly damage all of the other components till it fails. What you need to do is throw the powersupply away when you get the case. And purchase a better quality unit. Lucky for you you picked a low powered system so you won't need a high end one. You will need a 500w or higher quality unit with 26 amps on the 12 volt rail. Some good brands are antec , thermatake , and corsair.

Next the video card , are you going to be gameing? Because the 8500 is a low range card and is ok for movie playback and old games but not for the new games of today. You should at least get an 8600 for newer games , make sure it uses ddr3 and not ddr2.

Other then that it looks like it will be pretty good for the price. Just get a better powersupply , and thats a not just a recommendation , its somthing that you will need. And consider the video card too.

Oh , and the cpu cooler. Since its just a core two duo the stock intel heatsink or just a normal heatsink will be fine.
