Ok so I've done some research and this is the setup I've come up with so far:

Optical Storage: SONY DVD±RW 24x DRU-875S S-ATA BLK RET
CPU: INTEL CORE I7 930 1366 RETAIL
Motherboard: ASUS SKT-1366 RAMPAGE II GENE S/L 6400MT/s
RAM: GEIL 6GB DDR3 1800 TRIPLE CHANNEL NEO METALLIC BLUE ALUMINUM RET
HDD: HITACHI HD SERIAL 1TB UDMA 300 7200RPM 32MB OEM
Graphics card: ASUS 1GB RADEON HD 5850 DIRECTCU TOP PCI-E 2.1 HDMI
Sound card: ASUS XONAR DX PCI EXPRESS 1.0 RET
PSU: ANTEC CONTINUOUS POWER CP-1000 1000W A/PFC RET
Case: ANTEC CASE MINI P193 SIL/BLK RET

Total cost: 1753.79euro

Thoughts on this setup?
Also, is this a coherent setup?

Hi
Welcome to TSF

A few things.......OCZ,Corsair,G-Skill, or Crucial for ram
Western Digital has a 5 year warranty for their hard drives
Sapphire or Powercolor for the ATI GPU, Good Manufactures and great customer support.

Antecs Have great cases...But their psu line is really low end

A 750w will be Plenty for that setup...Corsair or Seasonic

Thanks for the fast reply. I was kind of skeptical about my memory and PSU choices so thanks for clearing that up.

As regards to memory. Would the following suffice:
http://www.memoryc.com/computermemory/ddr3ram/6gboczpc315000reapertriplekitcl9.html

And about the PSU, the reason I opted for the ANTEC was because I knew for sure it'd fit the case. how can I be sure a Corsair or Seasonic will fit?

Also, any thoughts on the Motherboard?

all PSU's use a standard mounting bolt pattern, if it doesnt fit, flip it over and it will.

RAM- OCZ, corsair, G-skill, crucial (I'm partial to crucial, but my current OCZ sticks are great)
HDD- get a Western 500 with the biggest cache you can get (esp for gaming). I usually get the Blacks when I can.
GFX- sapphire or powercolor.
PSU- Corsair or Seasonic...I have a cooler master real power pro, which i think is a rebranded Seasonic IIRC?. But yes, watch your choices for sure.
Case- sure you don't want a bigger case? Also, what about CPU cooler?

Newegg has Antec 900 for $80 and free shipping right now. Get it now while you can. Or depending on where you are located, I'm getting a HAF-X 942 when I get the money (about 4 weeks), so i'll be trying to unload my antec 900 to make some money back.

I know nothing of the i7's. Have frankly been trying to ignore them since i splurge 4 digits at a time whener i get a computer... I think I have $1800 if not 2+K in my computer after all of 2 revisions. First revision got split between both of parents computers when i built Rev2.
