Hi all , i recently joined this fora in hope,s ... i can perhap,s find a possible sollution for a strange problem i have with my Pc .

it keep,s BSOD,ing ... while running heavy Application,s ...most of wich are Games .

i have tried a number of thing,s , aswell as the " Driver Verifier " diagnostik mentioned here , strangely my Pc won,t produce DMP,s :.) ... and that is even after i installed the hotfix mentioned here & the Reg edit , tried everything ...it won,t Produce it ..tried 5 instances of " Driver Verifier " i,ve got a SSD as my Root drive , that might be the isseu of not producing it , but i,m really not sure about that

my specs :

OS : Win7 Premium Home 64 bit,s , original retail , no Dll,d Copy

age : about 1 year ( OS on system ) , Age of Hardware about 1 year aswell

Cpu : Intel Core 2 Quad , Q9550 2.83 Ghz ( Yorkfield )

Vga : Ati Radeon EAH 4870 Dark Knight

Mobo : P5Q3 De-Luxe , Asus

Psu : Corsair HX , 750 Watt,s

it has 8 Gig of DDR3 1333Mhz Ram installed

I,m really quite at a loss here in what can produce it :..) ...any help , suggestion,s would be greatly appreciated !! .. thank you for your time & insight /knowledge

Only one .dmp was included, and it was corrupted, but was a 0x7E crash and points to a hard disk related problem. Your msinfo32 file is missing, making it difficult to diagnose possible problems with your hard disks and/or SSD. I do note that your SSD firmware is out of date; please update it.
SSD Troubleshooting:
The crashes you are receiving are common with SSDs when there are incompatible drivers, hardware, BIOS, or firmware issues. Proceed with SSD troubleshooting:
  • Make sure the following are up to date:
    • SSD firmware
    • BIOS Version
    • Chipset Drivers
    • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
    • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

  • If this is a desktop system, try connecting the drive to a different hard disk controller connection, i.e. Marvell instead of Intel, ASMedia instead of Intel, Intel instead of ASMedia or Marvell, etc.

  • Try doing a power cycle of the SSD. The following steps should be carried out and take ~1 hour to complete.
    1. Power off the system.
    2. Remove all power supplies (ac adapter then battery for laptop, ac adapter for desktop)
    3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and drain all components of power.
    4. Reconnect all power supplies (battery then ac adapter for laptop, ac adapter for desktop)
    5. Turn on the system and enter the BIOS (see your manual for the steps to enter the BIOS)
    6. Let the computer remain in the BIOS for 20 minutes.
    7. Follow steps 1-3 and physically remove the SSD from the system by disconnecting the cables for a desktop or disconnecting the drive from the junction for a laptop.
    8. Leave the drive disconnected for 30 seconds to let all power drain from it.
    9. Replace only the drive power connection if it is a desktop, (fully reconnect the drive to the system if it is a laptop) and then do steps 4-8 again.
    10. Follow steps 1-3 again.
    11. Reconnect the drive fully to the system.
    12. Reconnect all power supplies (battery then ac adapter for laptop, ac adapter for desktop)
    13. Start your computer normally and run Windows.
The above steps were a result of: Why did my SSD "disappear" from my system? - Crucial Community

While that may not be your drive, a power cycle should be the same on all SSD drives. See how the system responds after the SSD power cycle.

If the above does not work, try replacing your SSD with a platter hard disk drive to see if the SSD is faulty or causing conflicts with your overall setup.

Your Media & Muziek drive is nearly full. I would advise backing up 36 GB of that drive to another drive to free up space; you should have 40 GB free on that drive for optimal performance.

Let us know how the system responds after you have done the SSD steps and freed up space on the other hard disk drive.

OK i,ve just updated the SSD,s Firmware i needed to make a bootable Usb for that but it worked fine without trouble

Also powered off the system & did the suggestion you made about disconnecting the SSD & re-connecting it , took me about an hour , it s seem,s to work fine .

you mentioned update

Hard disk controller drivers / SATA drivers

If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

What,s an IDE ATA/ATAPI device & Harddisk controller SATA Driver,s :..) and were do i get those ? ..i installed the Mobo,s packaged but last updated driver,s ( chipset , Marvel , etc ) , so i guess as you stated i can better update from either Intel or Marvel ?

Thx again much appreciated for sharing your knowledge!

Let's see if the steps you've taken fix the problem first. We can worry about driver issues later if you need further troubleshooting. Let us know in a few days how the system is responding.

-Bsod -

Hi all i am troubled like some here with regular Bsod,s ...

I,ve got this situation now for a while & around every couple of day,s my PC will produce 1 ~, in fact i got it ever since i installed with this setup

Now i,ve recently installed a new Motherboard & re-installed Windows 7 ( W7 Home Premium 64 Bit,s ) thinkin that might solve the problem , but it doesn,t :..) ,

some spec,s

OS :W7 Premium home 64 bit,s ( official retail , no dll,d Copy ) all updates & service pack1

Mobo : Asrock G41M-S3

Proccesor : intel Core 2 Quad Q9550

Psu : Corsair Hx Pro series 750 W

Hd : Ocz Vertex 2 , 80 G & 2 Samsungs regular platter HDD,s

Vga : Asus Eah 4870 DK

8 Gig,z of Ram installed

My Ram,s is in the Motherboard,s Qvl

Now i,m troubleshooting for a while now & also tried all suggestion,s made here by specialist,s , i tried the driver verifier ( it did not Bsod , but did re-boot ) , i did a harddisk check with Seatool,s all option,s , Memtest wich came out clean all test,s ....i even did some strenuous benchmarking with that known benchmarker ( the name escapes me at this time )

Ok so i,ve re-placed the Motherboard i thought that was a good idea , i thought it could be the cause , but it seem,s not , wel i,m quitte at a loss here now what can produce it

New installation , New Mobo , no exotic Software , Antivirus installed

The Bsod,s seem to come from running - after running heavy aplication,s ( atleast i think it does ) Application,s like SkyRim wich is a Game that is heavily scripted , a big resource hog aswell on the system ,but i can,t tell for sure

i,ve added some files as attachment , tho most information in those go way beyond my technical know -how ,

i would be very thankfull if some1 here could take a look & perhap,s could pointer out some suggestion,s

again thank you for your possible time & insight , & have a great day

Re: -Bsod -

Hard to tell with only 1 dmp file to go on.

There are several drivers out of date
Rt64win7.sys Thu Jul 30 07:58:43 2009
Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
Realtek

CT20XUT.SYS Wed Jul 7 09:44:15 2010
CTEXFIFX.SYS Wed Jul 7 09:44:03 2010
Creative sound card driver
Creative Worldwide Support

The Dump does not show Verifier running, do you have Verifier enabled?
Verifier will need to run up to 36 hours as you use the PC normally to find a violation sometimes.

Have you run Memtest+ for at least 6 passes(overnight often is the time it takes)?
D/L Memtest+ burn it to a CD using a free program like Imgburn if you need one then boot from the CD to test the ram, let it run for at least 6 passes or until you see an error.

Also lets get a look at the Temps and Voltages.
D/L and run Hardware Monitor do something intense like a virus scan or gaming for a bit, Alt+Tab back to HWM expand all the trees and use the Win7 snipping tool to grab a screen shot of the HWM window, post the screen shot using the paperclip button in the advanced message box(Go Advanced button).

Your original post from the 25th of March had a different Windows installation on it. Your current installation is pirated from acer/Gateway/Packard installed on a custom built system.

I am afraid your installation may not be genuine. If you believe that I am in error in my analysis, please let me know. However, if you do have a pirated copy of Windows, know that our troubleshooting steps may not have any effect on the pirated operating system, so we may be wasting your time by proceeding.

Non-Genuine Windows contains security leaks and also cannot be properly updated which may result in instabilities and blue screen crashes. If you were not aware that your Windows was Non-Genuine, contact your seller or the company that provided the seller and file a complaint. Also let Microsoft know of the problem: Protect Yourself from Piracy

If you do have a pirated copy of Windows, I am sorry, but due to forum rules, we may not assist you further until you have installed a genuine version of Windows. To put the genuine Windows on, I strongly suggest you backup any important data, format your hard disk, and reinstall Windows 7 to make sure all remnants are removed of the software that you used to make Windows work before. If you do not clean re-install, you may be left with a compromised system and your identity, bank accounts, credit card information, etc. may continue to be at risk as they are now. Once you install a genuine version:
Please download and run the MGADiag tool. When it finishes, hit the copy button, and paste in your next post with
<MGADiag info>
surrounding the MGADiag info.

Recheck the reading in the Bios on the PC health page.

Google the Windows Product ID number> Product-id: 00359-OEM-8992687-00006 it comes back to Acer/Gateway/Emachines/Packard Bell(all Acer companies)

Good supply, do you by chance have access to a digital voltmeter?
l

Hi Wrench97 .... , mhnn a Friend is a Electrician , i think i could borrow one for a while , seem,s like an good idea , i will check back in when i have one , a digital voltmeter is the tool in the picture correct? , atleast i think it is

if i got one should i attempt this , mentioned in the link you gave me , or do you have a suggestion perhap,s ?

Testing the PSU for short and open circuits...
Remove ATX connector from motherboard.
1. Keeping one probe on chasis, use other probe to check PSU's AC ground pin and the DC connectors black wire pins are reading zero. Any value other than zero indicates faulty grounding-replace PSU.
2. Keeping one probe on chasis, use other probe to check the connectors non-black wires are non-zero (if a colored wire reading less than 50 suspect a problem).

Thx alot for helping out , much apreciated
