I am currently not on the problem computer as i am at work. I recently got my computer, opened it up when recieved to make sure everything was snug and connected. It was running like a dream, then it froze. I was a computer tech for a while so I knew to run through updating everything. I updated every driver you could think of, DirectX, framework, forceware, memtest'd the RAM, chipset drivers, etc. I think ive come to the conclusion that the VGA is overheating. It idles at 60C with the fan at 80%. When I play less graphic intensive games like Counter-Strike: Source, it runs fine. However, games like Timeshift & Crysis freeze over time. Will installing a VGA cooler fix my problem?

Thanks

Just closed your duplicate thread in the Vista section but have a relevant question for you:

Are you currently overclocking your system?

Does running the BIOS default settings ease the problem at all?

well the power supply voltages are not dropping any.so that's probably not the culprit here.that one reading for temps is a bit crazy.the first screen you posted it said 99c,and the second says 112c.i would have to assume that reading is wrong,or something would have done burnt up.why not try running the vid card fan to 100%,and play a game to see if the problem still occurs.
