this happens to me frequently on my laptop where I shut the screen and it goes into standby then later I open it and my computer has restarted itself! then I get the windows error reporting message that "windows has recovered from an unexpected shutdown" It is getting annoying. my computer is a year old.
I have included the files necessary. Parts 1 and 2
part 1 contains 1/2 of the autorun analysis and the vista health file
part 2 contains the other 1/2 and the belarc advisor file

any help would be appreciated! thankyou

Hi -

There were no minidump files in your attached zips.

A few things I noticed that may help in lieu of the dumps.

1. Remove Ad-Aware. Use Revo --> http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Reboot upon completion.

2. Remove Norton 360 --> http://jcgriff2.com/NRT_N360_Removal.html

3. Update your IDT audio codec --> http://support.dell.com/support/dow...abIndex=&scanSupported=True&scanConsent=False

Update other drivers (UDT has 4-2010 update) -
Dell Support - Inspiron 1545 --> http://support.dell.com/support/dow...abIndex=&scanSupported=True&scanConsent=False

Regards. . .
