Hello all. First let me start off by apologizing for not being able to follow the correct format for BSoD posts. I am not on the computer suffering from them, so I cannot give the correct information.

Today, I got a BSoD, the error was "BAD_POOL_CALLER", so I did some research and found out it was my Realtek driver. I downloaded an update for it from the Realtek website, and I didn't recieve another BSoD for an hour or two. Then it hit again, but this time it had a different error. My computer froze up during the blue screen so I was able to write down what it said.

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught, the faulty driver currently on the kernel stack must be replaced with a working one.

Here it said the typical "reinstall any new hardware make sure it's installed correctly, etc., etc."

I can't even get on my computer now, everytime I start it up and type in my password, it gets the BSoD and freezes up on the screen.

I greatly appreciate any help, it seems like an impossible situation.
Thanks

Bugcheck 0xc4 = Driver Verifier flagged a driver and is now preventing it from loading.

Use Windows DVD or the HDD recovery partition to boot the system into recovery. Then select "Windows System Restore" - choose a restore point prior to running Driver Verifier.

You are looking for a rogue start-up driver. The name of the driver should have appeared on the screen below the STOP error (bugcheck).
