i am in agony.

let me explain.
i am using a factory,pre-built laptop, Acer Aspire 5580 that runs Nvidia Geforce Go 7300. I have been using it for a year. A YEAR! then the most unimaginable thing happened to me... my laptop died.. well sort of..
at first i noticed yellow vertical lines about an inch around my cursor, then soon after my laptop freezes. so i rebooted. when it came to the windows logon screen, i got a BSOD!

Wait! theres a bigger problem! when i reboot again, i cannot see anything... my monitor screen is blank. the backlight is on but the screen is blank! :( what can i do? will plugging in an external monitor work? (i doubt so) i cannot go into safe mode to unintall the driver because of this.. is it still possible to repair this problem by myself or do i need to (which i am not willing to) send it off for repair?
ok if all hope fails, can i at least rip off my laptop hard drive and plug it to my other PC via USB? will all my existing files still be readable?

thats the problem. i cannot go into safe mode.. the monitor is blank..
is there any other way?
ok i tried the external monitor. i can now see something on screen, so i went into safe mode, uninstalled my Nvidia Graphics card driver and rebooted. But nothing happened. there is still nothing on my laptop screen.. so i used the external monitor again. went into windows and went into my account and installed the nvidia display driver from ACER. as soon as it almost completes installation, my laptop restarts by itself. i rebooted and i get the same BSOD saying the same thing..

1. is my monitor dead?
2. is my graphics card dead?

so for now, i am using my laptop with no graphics driver. i am still able to get 32bit 1280x1024 rez but its laggy...

i have also tried finding for my drivers from Nvidia's site but i couldnt find it other than acer's site.. Nvidia Geforce Go 7300..
i tried that site you recommended.

ok i found XP.180.44.1 custom forceware.. it installed fine, rebooted and logged on. everything was ok for afew seconds (still on my external monitor, still nothing on laptop screen) then again the yellow vertical lines around the cursor appeared. then XP froze, then i had to reboot, go into safemode and uninstall the driver.. what is causing this problem?

also i noticed when i tried to uninstall in safemode, i get this error but the driver got uninstalled anyway...

faulty hardware just afew months after warranty expiry date... meh..

anyways,
thank you so much for your help dai! at least i got somewhere with your assistance. so basically now my laptop turned to a "destop" pc ...lol

once again, thanks ;)
hmm, my laptop monitor seems to be working again, but when i re-install the drivers, once again it crashes. so i most likely wont be repairing it. i'd rather save up for a brand new laptop coz mines kinda old and obselete anyways(acer aspire 5580)... thank for your help dai! ;)
yes there is picture, there is light coming out from the screen too..
