Recently, I formated my laptop and installed windows xp service pack 2. Then I installed all of the drivers. Now whenever I log on, 5 minutes later, I get the BSOD. It only works with safe mode. I figured I did something wrong with the drivers so I downloaded driver detective. Then I reached another problem. In order to use driver detective, I need to download Microsoft.net framework 2. However for some reason, I cannot access any microsoft websites. I need some serious help.

Other websites work but not Microsoft? Sounds like the PC is infected or has malware.

Also, the STOP code or ERROR code from the BSOD will point you to what is causing the issue...at least what is causing the blue screen.
