Hello everyone,

So out of the blue the other day I started experiencing BSODs randomly. I have had this PC build for about 5 years. The only thing I changed recently was I installed a GTX 980 ti, a USB 3.0 PCIe card (Inateck PCI-E to USB 3.0 5-Port PCI Express Card and 15-Pin Power Connector) some new radiator fans, and front case fans (with a SilverStone 1-8 PWM Fan Hub.)

It will just happen randomly.

Here are my files.

Thank you VERY much in advance.

Hi. . .

All 3 dumps name your Intel Storage driver as the probable cause -
Code:
[FONT=lucida Console]iaStorA.sys               Thu Oct 18 09:00:54 2012 (507FFD86)[/FONT]
https://www.sysnative.com/drivers/driver.php?id=iaStorA.sys

Update the driver and see if the BSODs cease.

Regards. . .

jcgriff2

EDIT: Are you over-clocked?
Code:
[FONT=Lucida Console]MaxSpeed:     3200
CurrentSpeed: 4044[/FONT]
If so, revert to default settings.

Thank you for the response.

I tried updating my Intel control drivers, so we'll see if that works.

I am Overclocked, (i7 3930k) with a AIO watercooler. I thought the 3930k was a chip you were able to overclock? I am just using the standard Asus Bios performance setting, to achieve that overclock. Should I try to manually dial it in?

Thanks again. I assume if I go to Asus website I will find the correct Intel Storage drivers?

Hi. . .

You're welcome. My pleasure to try and help.

Yes, you can try the Asus site.

Overclocking in an of itself can cause BSODs. Please reset it to factory defaults until we are finished here.

Regards. . .

Hey, so I got home late last night and I tried downloading the drivers from Asus website (as well as reverting back to stock clock speeds on my i7 3930k.)

I used the computer for about 4 hours and no BSODs :dance: I will be using it for about 6-7 hours later in the evening to do some renders, I'll let you know if anything happens.

Thanks a TON!
