Oh and also, im not the most tech savy, my brother is and he isnt feeling well, so bare with me if it takes me awhile to understand what you all mean :p

Finally, on a personal note, i am deeply upset at this point, simply because this ongoing problem has hindered my gaming efforts on all fronts, i was playing dota 2 when the crash happened, but i have had it happen on LOL and pandorra.

Re: BSOD 0x0a stop error, first time in awhile, here is the report

No need to start a new thread. I have asked that this be merged with your old one.

Difficult to find patterns with only one .dmp, but the one .dmp did blame hardware directly.

Do the following hardware testing:
NOTE:
  • If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.
  • Run FurMark to test the display card for artifacts and temperature issues.
  • Run Display card memory tests to check the display card for memory problems.
  • Run Disk Check with both boxes checked for all HDDs. Post back your logs for the checks after finding them using Event Viewer. In Event Viewer, expand Windows Logs, click Application to let it load, right click Application and click Find.... Search for chkdsk or wininit to find the logs.
For any drives that do not give the message:
Windows has checked the file system and found no problems
run disk check again as above. In other words, if it says:
Windows has made corrections to the file system
after running the disk check, run the disk check again.
  • Run all Basic tests with SeaTools: S.M.A.R.T. Check, Short Drive Self Test, Drive Information, Short Generic, and Long Generic. Run the tests for all HDDs.
  • Run Memtest86+ for at least 7-10 passes. It may take up to 22 passes to find problems. Make sure to run it once after the system has been on for a few hours and is warm, and then also run it again when the system has been off for a few hours and is cold.
  • Run Prime95 to test your CPU, RAM modules, and general hardware.

writhziden, thanks for the help so far, but before i start some of these tests i have some questions, so if you would be so kind as to answer:

1. Can you please explain the nature of the BSOD error code(like what it means in simple terms :p)

2. In previous BSODs, i had seperate GCARDS running( a gtx 450 and 650) just not in my computer at the same time, so does this mean i could rule out the gcard as the prob?

3. Since a re-installed windows, this is the first BSOD i have had, which troubles me, however the BSOD occurred when i was running DOTA 2 and the files from the game were transferred from the old OS, could this be a problem?

Thats it for now, if you could respond to these questions i would be very grateful, also, i will almost instantly post any other BSOD i get before i try any of the runchecks, thanks bro :)

Usual causes: Kernel mode driver, System Service, BIOS, Windows, Virus scanner, Backup tool, compatibility

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)

Most likely, but the crash could still be graphics card related if there is a fault in the motherboard along those lines.

Yes, files transferred from an old install could be corrupted and lead to crashes. You also mention other games (League of Legends only?) and Pandora causing crashes. That may indicate an audio/display driver conflict; those are rare, but do sometimes occur. I find that unlikely with the generic Microsoft HD Audio driver installed, though.

Let us know how you get along with the diagnostics. Hope we can help you narrow it down.

Thanks for the response, i still havent gotten around to the tests, ive been busy, but i did play some more DOTA 2, instead of bluescreens, the game just crashes, i kinda wanted to know if this could be related to the BSOD, the crashed only occur every couple games, and ive only had to restart once because my entire cpu froze up
