Hello guys

I have re-applied my overclock. And I have gotten some BSODs recently. The computer usually hangs up when for example opening several google chrome windows. And I really want to fix this.

Here is my BIOS template:

NOTE: Please provide the following information for a more detailed response: http://www.techsupportforum.com/for...-instructions-windows-7-and-vista-452654.html

While waiting for a reply:

I suggest starting all troubleshooting with the following diagnostic tests (located at this link: Hardware Diagnostics ). They'll save you a lot of time and heartache if there is a hardware failure, and you'll have the disks on hand in case you need them in the future:
H/W Diagnostics:
Please start by running these bootable hardware diagnostics:
Memory Diagnostics (read the details at the link)
Hard Drive Diagnostics (read the details at the link) - Test ALL of the hard drives.

Also, please run one of these free, independent online malware scans to ensure that your current protection hasn't been compromised: Free Online AntiMalware Resources (read the details at the link)
There are also free, bootable antivirus disks at this link: Free Online AntiMalware Resources - Bootable Disks

It's your system - so it's your call if you download it or not.
And caution is a good thing.

If this is the exact link that you're accessing:
Code:
http://sysnative.com/0x8/BSOD_Windows7_Vista_v2.64_jcgriff2_.exe
Then that's the correct link.

If that's the case, then I (and other staff members) can assure you that it's been downloaded by many people without any problems. Send a PM to another staff member that you pick so you can see that.

That being said, it's still your choice to download or not.
We will be available to help you once you post the necessary information.

Also, if you would like to get started, you can do this:
- Please zip up the contents of the C:\Windows\Minidump directory
- Upload it with your next post

and

- Go to Start and type in "msinfo32" and press Enter
- When the utility opens, save a copy of it as an .nfo file, and another copy as a .txt file
- Zip them up and upload them with your next post
Then, if necessary, we can ask you repeatedly to generate different reports that we may need.

Hi

I added the attachment in this post.
However. The perfmon report did mention that the user access control should be enabled. And also that it detected that I do not have any antivirus, which I do. I have webroot SecureAnywhere v8.0.1.95

It's not unusual for the report to mention that it couldn't find an antivirus - don't worry about it.

Lot's of errors with the Webroot SpySweeper service. Please:
- download a fresh copy of the program from the Webroot website
- uninstall the current copy from your system
- install the freshly downloaded copy
- IMMEDIATELY update it and then scan your system for threats.

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.
Please uninstall all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
Then, download and install a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
- Select the "Custom" installation option and don't let it install AMD OverDrive or the VISION Engine Control Center
Then use the ATI uninstall manager to uninstall the Catalyst Control Center (CCC).

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem in perfmon /report, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Uninstall". Reboot for changes to take affect.
If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking. Hopefully the large overclock has not caused any physical damage to the system.

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems. Please uninstall this application immediately.

Running 12 memory dumps generated from 03 Feb 2012 to 16 Feb 2012 (14 days)
7 different BSOD error codes cited
7 different causes blamed

This is most likely a hardware error - which includes:
- overclocking (a 1.32 gHz overclock!)
- compatibility issues (ie MSI Afterburner)
- low-level driver problems (ie AMD OverDrive)
- malware

WinRing0x64.sys dates from 2008.
It most likely belongs to your RealTemp device/program.
Please update the drivers. If no more recent update is available, please uninstall the drivers and remove the device/program from your system.
More info on the driver here: Driver Reference Table

rQnFItnF.sys is an unknown driver on your system.
This is very suspicious and may be a sign of a malware infection.
Please use one or two of these free, independent scans to ensure that your current protection isn't corrupted (and to ensure that you're not infected): Free Online AntiMalware Resources
If you are infected, please follow these instructions: NEW INSTRUCTIONS - Read This Before Posting For Malware Removal Help - Tech Support Forum

Further info on BSOD error messages available at: http://www.carrona.org/bsodindx.html

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs:
3RD PARTY DRIVERS PRESENT IN THE DUMP FILES
- Create a System Restore Point prior to doing any of this. DO NOT mess with the drivers themselves - leave the Windows\System32\drivers directory alone unless we specifically direct you to it!
- Please either update the older drivers from the device manufacturer's website - or uninstall them from your system. Reference links are included below.
- DO NOT use Windows Update or the Update Drivers function of Device Manager.
- Please feel free to post back about any drivers that you are having difficulty locating.
- Windows Update exceptions may be noted below for Windows drivers.

Hi

"WinRing0x64.sys dates from 2008.
It most likely belongs to your RealTemp device/program.
Please update the drivers. If no more recent update is available, please uninstall the drivers and remove the device/program from your system.
More info on the driver here: Driver Reference Table"

I did not find anything to update or install about this driver.

All the other stuff I am working on right now.
The online scan from ESET detected one malware thing. And it deleted it.

Hey

I have to ask you. Do you think I should change antivirus from Webroot to ESET? I got 2 months left of my subscription. I had ESET before. And I actually have nothing but good to say about ESET during that time.

I downloaded a newer version. It was released 16 February 2012. But I could not uninstall the earlier version via control panel. The program is not even installable. All you do is unzip and run the exe file. So I deleted the earlier version (3.6). Deleted the folder. And unziped the new (3.7) and run that.

I checked. But it was not located there. I just used windows search for it and I found it.
It is in the RealTemp folder that I put in my downloads folder. I checked it, and it said it was created today. (which was when I unzipped the whole folder)
