Hi

I thought I would try using this forum to see if I could get some help.
I've been having problems with what I believe is a browser hijacker. When I do a search in the google toolbar, I'm taken to google, but when I click a link I'm redirected to completely random websites. Also, occasionally a new tab will open up by itself.

This is incredibly annoying!!

I ran AVG virus scanner and Malwarebytes, both in safemode.
Malwarebytes found a trojan and removed it, but when I rebooted it was still doing the same thing.
I have been reading other forum entries on here and I have now got HiJackThis.
I haven't ran it yet, but if I need to post anything here I will do so.

Please will someone be kind enough to help me with this? It's driving me mad.
