Yup, you can do it yourself. A new powerjack is readily available - eBay has them fairly cheap all the time. There are several disassembly guides for the P25. there are several sites with Info on C jack repair - getting to the jack is machine specific, repairing/replacing the jack is pretty generic. Somebody even has a guide specifically for the P25 that includes beefing up the connections so it will never fail again - not a bad idea as I have replaced the jack in one machine 3 times so far.
Anyway the keys are: patience - it can take 3 hours to tear the machine apart the first time, if you have never done it before, and less than 15 minutes if you do this all the time. Keep track of everything. If you are really paranoid take digital photos all along the way. the last big deal is soldering. Specifically for power jacks - you want a bug hot fast iron.
