i don't understand why the physical address is like that
i was wondering if it has something to do with the Protocols that i have installed if i need one or something else, they are as follow...

Click start right click my computer and select manage, from the left hand side column select Device Manager now expand network adapters click on the newly purchased adapter and make sure it is enabled also check for any yellow ! marks as that would point to a problem with drivers not being installed correctly or not installed at all.

oops forgot to mention to check and make sure your cables are plugged in tightly and maybe try another cable as these are all starting points and you did not mention what you have already tried.
