Well, I was able to get in line first and get one of the limited Black Friday coupons for an awesome 17'' wide-screen LED Blu-Ray Win7 laptop this morning and a HDTV... but now I have a problem/question:
- I have only ever dealt with WinXP for the past four years, and I've never owned a HDTV before; BUT now that I do, I want to use the laptop as a media center and let it act as a Blu-Ray player and hook it up to the new TV...... What is the best method to do this (do I need any programs or additional software) and where should I go to get an HDMI cable? I know Best Buy rapes customers charging $49 for an HDMI cable, when they should only be $5 (according to an employee that works there, and also an article I read at HD Guru and Gizmodo/Engadget)
If anyone has done this before or has any helpful insight, I'd LOVE to hear it - I have the tools finally, now I just want to know-how, haha! THANKS
