I recently downloaded the newest verion of BootSkin, selected the one I want, booted up my computer, then a blue screen came up that said:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error scree, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.

If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware of software. Disable BIOS memery options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000000A (0x80586AED, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x80586AED)

I restarted it in SafeMode, chose the original xp boot, restarted it, and everything worked fin. I have a image of what the screen looked like...

The discription of BootSkin on Download.com says that it doesn't replace any system files, which sounds like in your case it did. You can make your own boot up screen by doing the following:

I highly suggest that you backup your system before doing so because you would be messing with the boot.ini file which is a critical system file. :4-thatsba
