I'm having a bit of trouble booting my computer from the OS disk. I've configured the BIOS to load from the CD-ROM drive, but it doesn't actually do it when I restart.

Any ideas why?

You've set your CD-ROM as the first boot device? If so, try booting from some other bootable CD/DVD and see if it works. Have you ever booted from a CD before? Is this a new optical drive?

Cheers for the quick reply, I've not tried to boot straight from a CD before and the drive isn't new. I'll try booting from another CD but I don't think it's the disk as I can start it up when Windows has loaded.

Kodi, I'm pretty sure I did, because I checked the Boot Sequence in System Setup and booting from the CD-ROM was top of the list.
