I have a laptop with the hard drive no longer working in it. So I wanted to install XP Pro to a 32GB USB drive and run it off that. But I can find nothing on how to do this. I have tried USB_Multiboot10, And Followed the instructions. But when I get to the last part of actually INSTALLING to a partition..It says "Setup cannot create the folder \WINDOWS" I even tried making the folder myself. Turning off read only Etc. Making different folders..And trying those and still have the same problem...Then I tried reformatting the Thumb Drive in Window Setup At the blue screen. Because it shows up as a partition at 32GB. That was going well. It was transferring the setup files. Then..Once it reboots and I have it start from the Thumb Drive It goes to the XP load screen..Then it loads for about 3 seconds then it gives me the 0x7B BlueScreen. I have tried everything...Disabling the main hard drive in the BIOS...Making the USB drive the MAIN partition..But no matter what it still throws the BSOD :upset:..Any ideas on how to fix this? Or maybe another method? Thanks.
